Backchannel -The New Media Reality Show at HP Tech Forum with comments on the HP POD

Some comments by bloggers and others who had their own views on the Performance Optimized Datacenter

What is Backchannel Content ?

The Backchannel is informal video that is gathered at any and all places during coverage by the SDRNewsor Tech PodcastNetwork team. It is generally un-edited and portions will be published as soon as possible during coverage, to give viewer a real sense of what it is like to be at the event.

Backchannel content is generally G-rated but as a week of 22 hour days begins to build, there will be some slip-ups due to the sheer pace and fatigue levels.

Our first use of the technique was at the CES 2007 show in January 2007, using the then-new  Pure Digital Flip cameras to show viewers what it was like to cover a show with hundreds of thousands of attendees, totally from the perspective of a team of podcasters. It turned out to be one of the most popular features that we had produced.

Careful viewing of the material can provide a lot of insight into events, products, venues and trends.

Comments, observations and statements made during Backchannel recordings are the total responsibility of the individuals concerned.
