In this episode, HP Networking expert Eric Papir – Senior Manager HP Networking discusses three key attributes that must be considered with regard to BYOD: Simplicity, Scalability, and Security. Each of these attributes must be integrated with the overall management of the complex task of managing across the enterprise.

Even small or medium sized businesses have difficulty integrating BYOD devices – so HP’s approach is focused on a scalable solution that can be delivered by channel partners, yet still be available for the largest enterprise customers. As the number and mix of BYOD devices increase, the management task grows in complexity. Making it secure and simple for the employee to extend their BYOD as a portion of the overall converged infrastructure can offer seamless deployment of both wired and wireless devices from the datacenter to the campus to the branch office.

HP’s Technology Services Division expertise is available to both channel partners and directly to customers, as required.

In this episode, HP 3PAR Storage expert Priadarshi Prasad and blogger Nigel Poulton discuss four main attributes that must be considered with regard to Flash storage. While the primary design objective has been performance acceleration cost efficiency optimization for the architecture, system resiliency, and data mobility are also critical. Adding the requirement for the seamless non destructive ability to move data around – data mobility must also be an important attribute of the total solution.

At HP Discover a new all Flash storage array, the HP7450, was introduced as the latest HP 3PAR system, incorporating each of these design points.

In this episode, HP’s Chris Purcell and Christian Verstrate delve into the reasons that attributes such as lower capital expense, increased levels of service, flexibility and agility have not resulted in a landslide of Cloud adoption in most organizations. IT managers have responsibilities that include security, compliance and an orderly transition from legacy systems under well defined service level agreements. As standards emerge, it is still difficult to avoid vendor lock-in and preserve long term flexibility.

<itunes:summary>Holding Back on Cloud Adoption for the Wrong Reasons

In this episode, HP's Chris Purcell and Christian Verstrate delve into the reasons that attributes such as lower capital expense, increased levels of service, flexibility and agility have not resulted in a landslide of Cloud adoption in most organizations. IT managers have responsibilities that include security, compliance and an orderly transition from legacy systems under well defined service level agreements. As standards emerge, it is still difficult to avoid vendor lock-in and preserve long term flexibility.

SDRNews HP Tech Talk – Defining the New Style of IT.

Our new series on SDRNews continues, with this episode features a discussion of HP’s Moonshot Server System.

HP’s Gerald Kleyn discusses FlexFabric, explaining some of the similarities and differences between traditional IT solutions and why the ability to quickly respond, configure and change in reaction to specific business goals can be a critical competitive advantage. The HP Moonshot system is a radical departure from conventional infrastructure design, and Gerald Kleyn, Director, Hyperscale Server Hardware R&D at Hewlett-Packard takes us through a discussion on the HP Moonshot, the world’s first software defined server for internet scale applications.

HP Moonshot is designed and tailored for specific workloads to deliver optimum performance and energy savings. This enables servers to share management, power, cooling, networking and storage.

SDRNews HP Tech Talk - Defining the New Style of IT.

Our new series on SDRNews continues, with this episode features a discussion of HP's Moonshot Server System.

HP's Gerald Kleyn discusses FlexFabric, explaining some of the similarities and differences between traditional IT solutions and why the ability to quickly respond, configure and change in reaction to specific business goals can be a critical competitive advantage. The HP Moonshot system is a radical departure from conventional infrastructure design, and Gerald Kleyn, Director, Hyperscale Server Hardware R&D at Hewlett-Packard takes us through a discussion on the HP Moonshot, the world's first software defined server for internet scale applications.

HP Moonshot is designed and tailored for specific workloads to deliver optimum performance and energy savings. This enables servers to share management, power, cooling, networking and storage.

In coming weeks, we will focus on Cloud, Networking, Servers and Storage products and ideas that are defining a new style of Information Technology, a Converged Infrastructure that responds to today's business environment.
