Storage and VM Assessment Tools

Sales Enablement Strategy and Programs

HP Storage

Leigh Ann Campbell introduces two new incentive programs, Get Thin and Get Virtual – providing incentives for customers to move from legacy storage systems.

HP or partners offer an assessment tool to spot underutilized capabilities, including models that bring in both financial models and technical information on their storage environment. It provides a snapshot of the present capacity, and financial projections for HP 3PAR and the StorServ 7000 system introduced at HP Discover 2012 in Frankfurt.

Leigh Ann also discusses some of the administration and maintenance cost impacts that often do not receive as much attention as power and cooling.

The Get Virtual guarantee promises a doubling of the Virtual Machine capacity of a system. A assessment tool is also available to balance storage and VM density through HP and their partners.
