In this interview, we revisit some of the struggles that customers have in managing and extracting value from Big Data. Brian Ng introduces the topic of HP Information Optimization Workshops.
Mr. Ng is a seasoned Information Management executive with more than 20 years of strategic consulting and hands-on implementation experience for global Fortune 500 companies. In his current leadership role of HP IM&A Strategy and Portfolio, Mr. Ng is responsible for developing and driving the HP Information Management & Analytics strategy, service portfolio, methodologies, and delivery competencies. In addition, he plays a key role in directing strategic programs such as Social Intelligence to position HP as a dominant global BI and Information Management consultancy. Prior to joining HP, Mr. Ng participated significantly in the growth of Knightsbridge Solutions LLC from a regional player to one of the top global consultancy in Business Intelligence. Mr. Ng played a number of diverse senior management roles in Knightsbridge including Senior Principal, Financial Services Practice; Practice COO, Health and Life Science Practice; and Director, Field, Operations and Delivery Group.
Key client successes in which Mr. Ng’s expertise has been leveraged were Bank of America, Wells Fargo Bank, Citibank, A.G. Edwards, Allstate Insurance, Pharmicia/Pfizer, Abbott Labs, Motorala, U.S. Postal Office and a number of leading companies across Europe and Asia. Prior to Knightsbridge Solutions, Mr. Ng was the Group Manager for Card Data Management and Analytics at RBC Royal Bank Canada.
Brian is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute (PMI). He also holds a bachelor degree in Computer Science from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and a Master of Business Administration degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
